Melissa Lardakis, a native Floridian and mother of three, joined Lytal, Reiter, Clark, Fountain and Williams after an extensive career in both health administration and law. She began her career managing a highly respected spinal surgeon’s office in Palm Beach County and then accepted management position at St. Mary’s hospital. While working in healthcare, Melissa was exposed to and fell in love with the legal industry. While continuing her work in healthcare administration, she completed her degree in legal studies and passed the CLA examination (the national professional standard for paralegals).
Melissa started her legal career as a paralegal at a plaintiff’s firm. She then spent five years working for a defense firm, representing insurance companies defending large million dollar plus policies. Additionally, she assisted in tobacco litigation defense.
After working on both sides of the legal industry, Melissa decided to devote her efforts entirely to injured victims. Now, she utilizes her knowledge and experience to help automobile accident and premises liability clients at the firm. Since earning her CLA in 2002, she has gone on to achieve her advanced certification in both discovery and trial practice. Melissa is also certified as a Mediator for Educational Disputes, and as a Florida Bar Registered Paralegal.
