$2.25 Million Verdict for Motorcycle Accident Victim

West Palm Beach, FL (May 27, 2011) – A Palm Beach County jury comprised of three men and three women has awarded a nearly $2.25 million verdict to 47-year-old Patrick Taggart and his wife Sharon Taggart of Lake Worth. West Palm Beach Accident Attorneys Scott B. Smith and Marci Fuentes Ball represented the Taggarts after Patrick was severely injured in a motorcycle accident in Boynton Beach, FL.

The accident happened on February 8th, 2009 at 2:08p.m. Mr. Taggart, a long time AT&T field tech, was riding his motorcycle through the intersection of Woolbright Road and Southwest 18th Street when the defendant made a left turn into his path of travel. Taggart was catapulted and became airborne for more than 40 feet as a result of the crash. Due to the crash, his left leg was shattered. Mr. Taggart was rushed to the Delray Medical Center Trauma Facility where he endured several surgeries to repair his left leg and incurred extensive medical bills.

After a four day trial, the jury awarded the Taggarts $2,247,287.55.
