On the evening of April 17, a boat was found in a perilous situation at the Juno Beach Pier. Personnel from the Palm Beach Fire Rescue, Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, U.S. Coast Guard and TraumaHawk all responded to the scene, which saw four people in a precarious position on the sinking vessel.
The boat had capsized, and left one person unconscious as a result.
A helicopter hovered over the boat, and helped to orient other rescue crews to the exact location where the people were found.
All four individuals were loaded onto the Palm Beach Sheriff Office’s rescue boat, and transported to a dock inside Jupiter Inlet.
One individual was brought to a local trauma center via the TraumaHawk helicopter present at the scene.
The other three people on the boat were well enough to not require a visit to the hospital.
