A driver located a man’s body along U.S. 27 during the early morning hours of February 13. Miramar police officers responded to the report and theorized that the deceased man was the victim of a hit-and-run.
Roughly two hours after the body was found, it was seen covered in a yellow tarp on the side of the road.
Authorities have not released the identity of the victim to the public or communicated leads as to when the man may have been struck by a vehicle.
The highway was shut down as the police processed the scene but re-opened later that morning.
