Unfortunately, an early morning crash on May 1 claimed the life of a pedestrian. It is difficult to determine whether the above circumstances were at play, as the investigation is still ongoing and details are coming out slowly.
The incident took place in the area of Northwest 199th Street and 27th Avenue when a person was fatally struck by a vehicle. The driver of a black Toyota was heading south on Northwest 27th Avenue. The pedestrian was in the process of crossing westbound lanes on Northwest 199th Street.
The identity of the driver and the name of the pedestrian killed in the incident have not yet been released to the public.
Southbound lanes of 27th Avenue between 195th and 199th streets were closed as authorities continued to investigate.
