On the morning of January 24, two cars collided and caused a harrowing series of events. A 17-year-old was behind the wheel of a 2012 Honda Civic, while a 22-year-old man was driving a 2012 Subaru Impreza on I-95.
It’s unclear what caused this to take place, but the teenage driver lost control of the Honda Civic, which veered to the right, causing it to strike the Subaru. The Subaru did not lose control and came to a coordinated stop on the shoulder on the outside of the roadway.
However, the Honda jettisoned through the paved shoulder and into the grass shoulder. As it turns out, there was a man on the shoulder while the Honda was darting in that direction, and the man was struck by the Honda.
He was declared dead at the scene of the crime by rescue personnel. His identity, nor the identities of the other two drivers, have been released at this stage of the investigation.
The incident took place near the Lantana Road area.
