Details of the Woodure Kitchen Step Stool Recall
The recalled products are Woodure-branded children’s tower kitchen step stools, including the following models:
- WD1764
- WD1357
- WD1720
The stools were sold in plywood and measure approximately 18 inches deep, 16.9 inches wide, and 34.6 inches tall. The model number is engraved on the underside of the bottom step.
The recalled tower stools were sold on Amazon.com for between $60 and $100. The products were imported by Shenzhen Muqiqu Creative Development Co. Ltd. and manufactured in China.
Reports of Stool Instability and Child Injuries
According to the recall notice, Woodure has received 22 reports of instability or tip-overs involving the recalled kitchen step stools. Those incidents include 15 reported injuries, including scrapes, cuts, and bruises.
Children’s tower stools are designed to help young children safely reach countertops and participate in activities such as cooking or learning in the kitchen. When a stool is unstable or tips over unexpectedly, children may suffer falls and injuries.

- Protective nets
- Stabilizing feet
- Installation instructions
The company will mail the repair kit directly to consumers. Parents and caregivers should follow the provided instructions before allowing children to use the stool again.
Consumers should also keep records of the product, recall communications, and any injuries or medical treatment connected to use of the stool.
