A 74-year-old woman was struck by a truck while walking in a Publix grocery store parking lot in Manalapan on March 11. Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office said she passed away Monday, March 31.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Janice Stein was exiting her vehicle to cross the parking lot at Plaza Del Mar when she traveled into the path of a southbound truck driven by a 41-year-old man.
The front of the truck hit Stein’s left side and continued to drive over her. The driver, a Boynton Beach resident, slowed and stopped a short distance from the collision site. No charges have been filed, though the investigation continues.
