A bicyclist was fatally struck by a vehicle on Palm Beach Boulevard near Marsh Avenue in Fort Myers early Thursday morning. The incident occurred shortly before 6:20 a.m.
The driver involved remained at the scene, and the Fort Myers Police Department’s traffic homicide unit is investigating.
Westbound lanes between Marsh Avenue and Van Buren Street were closed for several hours following the crash.
