A 60-year-old man is in critical condition after a hit-and-run incident while cycling on January 11. The collision occurred in the 1100 block of 45th Street near East Avenue. West Palm Beach Fire Department personnel found the man unconscious at the scene; he was transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center for treatment. Authorities believe the cyclist was struck from behind, causing him to be thrown forward, landing partially on the road and sidewalk. The investigation is ongoing, and the cyclist’s identity has not been released. Anyone with information is urged to contact the West Palm Beach Police Department.
