Early Thursday morning (July 24, 2025), Florida Highway Patrol responded to two fatal accidents in South Florida that forced significant road closures.

  • Palm Beach County (7:07 AM): A tractor-trailer crash at approximately 6:35 AM shut down the I‑95 North off-ramp to Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard (Exit 71). Emergency responders temporarily closed the ramp; it reopened just after 10 AM.
  • Okeechobee County (~6:15 AM): A second fatal crash took place on U.S. 441 North near NE 300th Street. The incident led to the closure of that section of the highway. FHP confirmed their ongoing response.

Authorities are currently investigating both incidents. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes and expect delays in affected areas.
