Florida Highway Patrol and the West Palm Beach Police Department arrested a suspect accused of stealing a vehicle on the morning of June 10 after a high-speed chase that ended in a crash.
Authorities attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver refused to pull over, leading to a five-mile pursuit on Interstate 95. The chase concluded when the suspect collided with two other cars at the intersection of I-95 and Southwest 10th Avenue.
After the crash, officers discovered counterfeit money and burglary tools in the vehicle and on the suspect. The suspect and another driver involved in the crash were treated at a local hospital for minor injuries.
The suspect was later booked into Palm Beach County Jail.
