A 56-year-old man from Sunrise was fatally struck by a bus while darting across Interstate 95 in Delray Beach on the morning of September 3. Florida Highway Patrol reports that the man unexpectedly ran from the shoulder into the northbound lanes and was hit by an oncoming white Ford bus, which could not avoid him. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Delray Fire Rescue. The incident occurred just before State Road 806, and it remains unclear why the man entered the highway.
