A watercraft collision occurred on the afternoon of August 26 near the 79th Street Causeway in North Bay Village, injuring one man. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, which is investigating, reported that the man was thrown into the water and later transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The occupants of the other watercraft involved fled the scene, and authorities are searching for a yellow watercraft operated by an adult Black male operator and a female passenger in a cheetah print bathing suit. Further details about the victim or the crash circumstances have not been released.
