Senior citizen killed in North Fort Myers

A 70-year-old woman was struck and killed by a car in North Fort Myers just before 11 p.m. on August 26. The accident occurred when she stood in the eastbound lane of Del Prado Boulevard at its intersection with Sabal Springs Boulevard. The driver, a 48-year-old man from North Fort Myers, remained at the scene. Florida Highway Patrol and Lee County Sheriff’s Office personnel responded, and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
