A multi-vehicle collision on State Road 100 near Carraway resulted in two fatalities and significant traffic disruptions Tuesday morning. The Florida Highway Patrol reported that around 7 a.m., a 34-year-old Live Oak man was driving eastbound when his sedan veered into the westbound lane, sideswiping one vehicle before colliding head-on with another.
The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 12-year-old passenger in one of the impacted vehicles sustained injuries and was transported as a trauma alert. All lanes of State Road 100 were closed for several hours following the incident.
