On the afternoon of August 12, a high-speed collision involving three vehicles occurred on Northwest Sixth Street at the Northwest 27th Avenue intersection in Broward County. A speeding Tesla Model 3 struck a 2023 Dodge Durango, colliding with a 2024 Chevrolet Trax, causing it to overturn. Both the Durango and the Tesla subsequently crashed into a chain-link fence.
Two women in the Durango were pronounced dead, and another occupant was severely injured. The drivers of the Tesla and Chevrolet were taken to Broward Health Medical Center. The identities of the deceased and other individuals involved have not been released. The Broward Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
