The Lytal Reiter Leadership Award Scholarship

Lytal, Reiter, Smith, Ivey, & Fronrath is proud to support the next generation of leaders through education and community engagement. As part of our ongoing commitment to giving back, we are pleased to offer The Lytal Reiter Leadership Award, a $1,500 scholarship designed to recognize law students who demonstrate strong leadership qualities and a dedication to making a positive impact.

We believe leadership extends beyond titles—it’s reflected in initiative, integrity, and a genuine commitment to helping others. Whether in academics, extracurricular activities, or community involvement, student leaders play a vital role in shaping stronger, more supportive communities.

This scholarship is open to motivated students who exemplify leadership and are driven to create meaningful change in their schools, communities, or future professions. Applicants should demonstrate a clear commitment to personal growth, service, and leadership development.

Scholarship Requirements

Additionally, all applicants must either be currently enrolled in or accepted to an accredited law school or be a current undergraduate student with plans to attend law school in the future, with a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Required Essay

Prompt: Describe a time when you demonstrated leadership in your community or personal life. What challenges did you face, how did you handle them, and what was the outcome? Reflect on what this experience taught you about leadership and how you plan to apply these lessons in the future, within 500-1000 words.
