JoLynn was born and raised in New York, but considers herself a Floridian, as she has lived the majority of her life in Florida. A Florida Gator, JoLynn attended the University of Florida where she studied Broadcast Journalism and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree. She also attended the University of Southern California, minoring in film studies and film production and was a film production intern at Universal Studios in Los Angeles, California.
JoLynn worked in the advertising field after graduation from the University of Florida, but decided to enter the legal field, where she found her passion. A decision she has never regretted. She obtained her Paralegal Certificate from Florida Atlantic University and is a Florida Registered Paralegal with the Florida Bar Association. She is also a Florida Notary Public.
Over the course of her 30 plus years as a diversified paralegal, JoLynn has focused her legal career in litigation. Some of the areas she has worked in include; commercial litigation, civil litigation, insurance defense, products liability and personal injury. She has worked for high profile, respected, plaintiff and defense law firms in Broward County and Palm Beach County, Florida. She has trained and supervised paralegals and legal assistants, and established, developed and managed various legal departments.
She has attended and assisted attorneys at hearings, mediations, trials and arbitrations. Over the years, she has attended over 30 mediations.
JoLynn cares about her clients. Her strong communication and interpersonal skills inspires trust and confidence between her and her clients, resulting in cultivating and maintaining solid client relationships throughout the client’s lawsuit and beyond.
JoLynn is a member of the Palm Beach County Paralegal Association. She previously served on the board of the Association as the Volunteer/ProBono Chairperson, where she coordinated events supporting women and children in crisis, including the Palm Beach County Guardian Ad Litem program. When JoLynn discovered an individual, child or adult, removed from their home for their own safety, was only permitted to take with them one plastic bag of their personal possessions, JoLynn coordinated the collection and delivery of over 100 suitcases to “safe” shelters for individuals to utilize instead of plastic bags.
JoLynn is a supporter of numerous charities. She is an advocate for women and children in crisis and a supporter of animal rights. She has a passion for the outdoors, the arts and animals.
