An unnerving event took place in the evening hours of May 14 in Lauderhill. In the 3600 block of West Broward Boulevard, the driver of an SUV improperly entered the path of an oncoming Ford Mustang, and the two vehicles collided.
The SUV would proceed to roll over while throwing a passenger from the vehicle in the process. The man was taken to Broward Health Medical Center and died from his injuries.
The driver of the SUV was also taken to the hospital but is expected to make a full recovery. At this time, it’s unclear as to why the SUV crossed into a lane that it shouldn’t have. The investigation remains ongoing, and it remains to be seen whether charges will be filed.
The Ford Mustang occupied a small family consisting of a mother and her two children. The mother was seriously injured, while the children were reported to have minor injuries.
At this juncture, the updated condition of the mother is not known.
There were no other vehicles involved in the crash, which is fortunate considering the time of the evening and the nature of the incident.
