rolando rancano killed in crash

A crash that took place in the 200 block of Ponce De Leon Street during the afternoon of March 11 has left one dead and three others injured.

37-year-old Rolando Rancano was behind the wheel of an Audi that slammed into a pickup truck pulling an enclosed trailer. Rancano was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel. According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Rancano was driving a stolen car and traveling between 80 and 100 miles an hour before the accident in Royal Palm Beach.

“All of a sudden I heard like a NASCAR sound,” said Lou Yagovane, who lives in the area and was outside at the time of the incident. “I barely turned around and saw skid marks.” Via WPTV.com.

Three occupants of the pickup truck were rushed to a trauma center, one via air and two via ground. Both the pickup truck and the Audi suffered notable damage.

According to Yagovane, this area is no stranger to cars speeding down the road.

“I had been one of the ones that called about the stop sign being run constantly on the road,” Yagovane revealed. Via WPTV.com.
